The little tutorials appearing here are intended as a simple, down-to-earth guide on some things I feel may be useful for your photography. You do not require a degree in maths nor ten years experience in photography; you only need an interest in how things work and a desire to take better photographs.
GETTING IT STRAIGHT: Ever photograph prints, paintings, stamps, books, sides of barns maybe, and find your camera wasn't quite "straight-on" to the subject? Yes, me too, until I worked out this dead-easy, dirt-cheap solution.
GRID SCREENS: Can't get one for your digital camera? Just make one following my simple guide, and for almost-no-cost. Oh, and if you don't know what a Grid Screen is and how useful they can be, just read this very short two-page tutorial with FREE Grid Screen Template.
INDOOR BACKGROUNDS: Whether you do it on the cheap or like the pro's, a quality and easy-to-use background is a huge asset to your photography.
SHARPNESS: Of Shutters and Apertures and Depth of Field (which is not how deep the mud is on the footy ground).
TRIPODS: Not so much a tutorial as hints on what to look for when buying a tripod.
